Pastini Pastaria is a locally owned, Portland-based
restaurant company started in 2001. Currently there are seven
Pastinis – casual Italian bistros with a passion
for pasta – known for genuine hospitality, stellar
service and wonderful food made with fresh ingredients.
Each Pastini has a cool zeitgeist and a warm, urban atmosphere
with cozy booths and art glass lights. We serve an authentic
menu of pastas from all Italian regions, and at Portland’s

Management Positions
Pastini knows that attracting and keeping
a talented staff is critical to our continued success.
Our goal as we expand is to promote from within as managers
grow with the company and add to their skills. We offer competitive

Each Pastini management team consists of a General Manager,
Assistant General Manager and Kitchen Manager. Currently
we are interviewing for all three positions. Comparable
experience is essential.
General Manager
The G.M. is responsible for the entire restaurant operation
and reports to the Regional Manager. They work with
the Assistant G.M. and Kitchen Manager on:
- Customer satisfaction/guest experience
- Hiring, training and development of staff
- Food quality and standards compliance
- Workplace safety and Health Department compliance
- Food, beverage and labor costs
- Inventory
- Store maintenance
- G.M’s have a set schedule and typically work about
45-48 hours per week.
- The position is very much hands-on, involving considerable
floor time and staff support
Assistant General Manager
The A.G.M. assists the G. M. in all of their duties and is
the manager in charge whenever the G.M. is not in the store.
They report to the General Manager.
- A.G.M.’s have a set schedule and usually work about
40-45 hours per week.
- Like the G.M., it is a very hands-on job with lots of
floor time and staff support.
Kitchen Manager
The K.M. is in charge of the kitchen and reports to the General
Manager. They are responsible for:
- Staffing, training and staff development
- Food cost and kitchen labor cost
- Food safety and Health Department compliance
- Maintaining the quality and consistency of the Pastini
menu.
- The K.M. has a set schedule and typically works 45-48
hours per week.
